Thailand Holiday Tours

going to thailand in april 2009 and i will be staying in bangkok for 2 or 3 days phuket probably 7 days and koh samui 4 days, could u reccomend some day tours in these places. im interested in the Phang Nga Bay canoe cave explorer, Siam safari elephant camp trek, and the green leaf Khao national park tour. but any others u would reccomend would be a great help! Im a 22 year old female and will be travelling with a male!

Just about every second shop (in Phuket) has a tour desk. They will have brochures of all the tours you can take. Have a look at them; get some prices and then book. Most agents take bookings up to 9pm the night before you want to go on the trip. There’s a lot to see and do. One recommendation is to take the drive to Promthep Cape & Rawai. There is also an aquarium that you might want to check out.

A number of tour companies offer trips to Phi Phi; most are very good and safe. Just remember: you get what you pay for. A good trip to Phi Phi should cost you between 2400 Baht and 2800Baht. When you find them offering trips for under 2000Baht, there is usually a reason why they are so cheap.

All Phi Phi Islands visits include pickup from your hotel lobby, some snorkeling, and relaxing for a couple of hours on their clean beaches. None of the trips are more than 10 hours in length (even the half day trip is also 7-8 hours). Tours usually depart around 8am or later for ?- day trips. In all, they are all safe and cover exactly same locations. But the tour info desk staff will advise you best.

Thailand is a land of smiles. You don’t need a tour group tp feel safe. Just don’t show off your pile of cash in the public, and you will be fine, it’s the same as all countries. If you treat everyone you meet with respect, you’ll make a lot of friends there.

2.Always bargain.
3.Always use condom for sex.
4.Always look out for good food.
5.Always ask yourself, do you need a Thai-girl, or a Tiger(beer).

please don’t suggest internet search engines. i want to actually speak to someone and give them the details and have them look for tickets. im looking into thailand’s bangkok and phuket and cambodia’s siem reap or phnon pneh

Work on one thing at a time. Book your flight to Bangkok first. In Bangkok stay in the city 3 or 4 days to see the city. While there you can get a plane ticket real easy to Phuket or elsewhere in a day or two. This way you can remain more flexible and on your departure. Spend the last night in Bangkok before you leave for home so you don’t have to worry about connecting flights breaking down, etc.

If you go to a travel agency in your home town you can get some valuable information on which flights leave from your area. You can also get some information on prices and even hotels if you don’t want to trust anyone. You are not committing anything by getting free info from a local travel agency in your town.

When you know what airlines leave your area of the country then you can call the airline reservations desk and book a flight. It is best to look at the airline’s website to see what the prices are. Check a few days before and after your preferred departure date to see if the price changes. They you can call or buy from the airline website. You can even ask the reservations office to check for cheaper flights while using the telephone. You have to ask if there is a cheaper flight or better time to leave - they don’t have to offer that info.

For hotels in Bangkok mention a price you want to pay per night and you will get some recommendations. Even at the airport you can book a hotel room for the city. In Bangkok get your tickets to Phuket or if safe to Cambodia. Bangkok has two airports make sure you know which airport your plane departs from. There are lots of travel agencies in Bangkok - lots of them! Unless you are booking a flight close to Christmas or New Years Eve you can get a flight.

Read the below travel forums for more advice. You can even get a hotel with a phone call from the airport or by using a hotel websites. Or you can have a local travel agent book for you. But first mention how much you want to spend per night if you want a recommendation, a baht figure! For Bangkok get a hotel near the Skytrain route to make it easier to get around town.
